POINT NEPEAN NATIONAL PARK

Closed to the public for over 100 years, Point Nepean National Park became accessible in December 2009. A wayfinding system was designed to enable visitors to the Quarantine Station to independently navigate their way around the site.

The yellow flag, used as a visual motif on all the signage, is a universally recognised sign of quarantine.

The signs have been designed to be sympathetic to the individual character of the Quarantine site, the natural environment and heritage buildings.

A graphic timeline of the Quarantine Station's history was also produced, with treatment of typography and use of colour creating a contemporary and eye-catching display of historic information.
