First published in 1977 by Puffin Books, the 'Practical Puffin' series is for children who like to do things for themselves, and features illustrations by David Lancashire.

The series is featured in Puffin by Design – 70 Years of Imagination 1940–2010 (Penguin Books), which charts the development of Puffin and the role its editors, illustrators and designers played in creating and defining Puffin's identity form its early titles through to the present day. 

In the late 80s and early 90s David was Art Director for the Sportsgirl account. Helping forge a memorable place in the fashion market, iconic imagery and bold use of colour was used to embody Australian culture, as seen in these magazines for the Spring 1988 and Summer '88 – '89 ranges. 

John Gollings is widely acknowledged as one of Australia’s premier photographers of the built environment.

The exhibition Aftermath: Landscape photographs by John Gollings from Black Saturday presents a series of images taken by Gollings of the landscape after bushfires burnt across Victoria on and around Saturday, 7 February 2009

Janet Laurence’s The Alchemical Garden of Desire is the second exhibition, in a series, where an artist has been invited to produce a body of work relating to McClelland’s surrounding environment (the first exhibition in 2010 was Andrew Browne: From the Periphery).

The biennial McClelland Sculpture Survey & Award is the most important outdoor sculpture exhibition in Australia, with 35 works displayed throughout a bushland setting.

The major comprehensive catalogue is an important documentation of this prestigious prize, with both the exhibition and catalogue being significant for the development, appreciation and promotion of sculpture. The identity and format of the catalogue therefore required special treatment and stock selection to make it stand apart in the market.

K.W.Doggett’s latest HannoArt promotion pays homage to the precision of music and paper.

The postcard pack includes tips and hints about colour, printing and specifications. The cards feature images of Dave’s rare collection of guitars, including Gibson, Fender and Gretsch, all treated with spot colour, metallic ink, or varnish to enhance the image. 

One of this year’s McClelland Sculpture Survey & Awards finalists, artist John Kelly (based in Ireland) enlisted the assistance of DLD in the creation of his Survey entry.

A new signage suite has been designed for use throughout the McClelland Sculpture Park+Gallery site. The suite has been developed based on the existing totem signage system that has been implemented throughout the park.

2012 marks the reinvention of the Premier’s Design Awards, ensuring better recognition for Victoria’s design professionals and reflecting a stronger commitment from the Victorian Government to building Victoria’s design excellence.

The renewed awards program called for a new brand and trade mark, which DLD has developed. The icon recalls Victoria’s heritage (stemming from the floral and faunal emblems) and symbolises design excellence and distinction.

As part of the extensive brand re-fresh carried out for McClelland Sculpture Park+Gallery, DLD has created a new design and format for their biannual calendar.
