POINT NEPEAN

Point Nepean has played a special role in the early settlement, quarantine and defence of Victoria. With its spectacular natural and built landscapes, it is a unique place which leaves an immediate and lasting impression.

The Victorian Parliament recently passed an amendment to the National Parks Act 1975 to establish a single national park at Point Nepean.

This commemorative booklet marks the opening of the Quarantine Station to the community on Sunday December 6, 2009.

The booklet features spectacular photographs by John Gollings, of both the natural landscape of Point Nepean, as well as documentation of the buildings, fort and tunnels around the site.

A self guided brochure assists visitors to walk freely around the Quarantine Station – identifying key buildings and their features.
