David Lancashire Design was commissioned by Healsville Sanctuary to design the interpretive graphics for their World of the Platypus precinct; 150 square metres of viewing area of the display tanks, housing platypus, eels, water rats and native fish.
A close working practice between the designers and architects was required to work the display techniques into the building structure.
DLD also designed building signage and concepts for the interpretation gallery.
Etched glass panels were fibre-optically lit to give them an underwater feel.
